If you are you a plus-size shopper--any shopper--looking for a bargain? Black Friday myths are everywhere, and I thought it might be a good time to take a look at why some people believe that post-Thanksgiving shopping here in the United States is a bad idea.
1. Deals, Schmeals?
Some people think that Black Friday deals are majorly over-hyped, but I read an interesting thing recently: the prices are often the lowest that they will be for 6-12 months! If you're stocking your own closet or buying everyone holiday gifts, this is the weekend to strike.2. You've Got to Hit the Stores
You can shop online and get the same bargains. Almost 100% of your Black Friday deals can now be found online, and that means that you don't even need to leave the house to get them. This goes double for any plus-size fashion picks! We mostly shop online for those, anyway, so it all works out.3. Timing Is Everything
People say that you should kick off your Black Friday shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. If you are an online shopper, keep in mind that many deals are available as soon as it turns midnight here in the States. Head online and take a peek... while sipping eggnog in a holiday glow!4. In-Store Prices Are Lower
Not really. If you can order over $100 worth of goodies (or quite often, less), you can score free shipping, and you can even find $-off coupons to make a low price even lower.5. Sell-Out Deals Are All You'll Find
To follow up on the whole "timing" thing, if you'll be traveling for the holidays, don't forget that you can still grab deals as late as Sunday. If you get online or hit the stores during the weekend, there will be plenty of mark-downs available for you to peruse.
